    Trinity Home Inspections FAQ

Have a home inspection-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and call us today for more information!

    • Four Point Inspection Vs Full Home Inspection

Four point inspections focus on the most essential areas of a home. These include:

      • Heating & Air Conditioning
      • Electrical Fixtures, Control Panels, and Meters
      • Plumbing & Fixtures
      • Foundation
      • Free Baseline Radon Test
      • Roofing & Support Structure

Full home inspections are more comprehensive and include inspections on:

      • Heating
      • A/C
      • Plumbing
      • Electrical
      • Attic, including insulation
      • Walls
      • Ceilings
      • Floors
      • Windows and doors
      • Foundation
      • Basement (when applicable)
      • Structural components
    • Types of Chimney Inspections

Level 1 chimney inspections are the most common type and are the least intrusive. Level 1 inspections are required to legally use the basic functions of a chimney.

Level 2 inspections must be completed by a certified chimney sweep. These inspections are performed when someone is buying or selling their home or business with a fireplace, after storm or fire damage, or if the chimney will be used for an extended period of time.

    • NACHI vs ACHI: What's the Difference?

NACHI and ASHI refer to the two major associations of home inspectors. NACHI stands for the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, and ASHI is the American Society of Home Inspectors. Trinity Home Inspections has received accreditation from both.

    • What Should I Be Concerned About With My Inspections?

The answer depends on the level of inspection you are receiving. In a four-point inspection, the inspector will be looking into the main four elements of a home — heating and cooling, electrical, plumbing, and roofing — while a full home inspection will be much more thorough and cover the entire home.

    • Who Are You Affiliated With?

We at Trinity Home Inspections are proud members of both ASHI and InterNACHI, as well as the National Inspection Standards Institute.

    • What Affects the Cost of My Inspecction?

There are a few things we consider when pricing your home inspection, mainly the size of the home. But there are other factors that play a role in this, including the state of your local real estate market.

    • How Long Does an Inspection Take?

On average, you can expect a home inspection to take about three hours to complete. This timeframe, however, can change depending on the size, complexity, and state of your home.

    • Are Free Estimates Available?

At Trinity Home Inspections, we offer free estimates over the phone. This estimate is based on a few different factors, including home size and foundation.
